Danny and Cece are the Kurt and Courtney of Gibraltar. They are certain that their band is about to sign a deal with a label in London. But then they get pregnant.
Danny’s rock’n’roll excesses grow crazier the longer the ‘deal’ drags on, and Cece begins to have second thoughts.
When Danny doesn’t join her at the family planning clinic, she decides to keep the baby and move back in with her Mum in Gdynia, Poland.
Danny melts down spectacularly and makes a ridiculous bet with the biggest smuggler in Gibraltar that he can get Cece back. But his only mode of transport is a knackered old bike chained to his Mum’s balcony.
So Danny and bandmate Izan begin a 4000km pedal-powered odyssey across Europe to win Cece back, prove he can be a Dad, and rescue their band.
The show combines romantic road trip imagery with a strong commitment to visual comedy. It’s about adorable losers trying their hardest to win, and about how going on the road changes you. It’s about the dirty cracks that rock music grows out of. It’s also about discovering the value of other ways of life and the kindness of strangers.
