Baker’s Dozen

Freshly baked buttermilk scones, Wednesday, 1st February 2006.

Behold my first attempt at scones! They taste every bit as good as they look, and they were pretty easy to make. I’m basking in a warm yellowy self-satisfied glow right now. The ladies at Courtney’s Margaret Atwood book group should be well fed tonight. Click here for a screenful of food porn goodness!

I’m off to make some Marxist Welsh cakes.

I hear Welsh cakes are very popular in Islington right now, Kelvin. And wasn’t David Cameron spotted munching one the other day?

  9. Davenport says:

Islington wouldn’t touch a staffordshire oatcake, Kelvin; perhaps you could do a Marxist variant of that?
